Back for its third year, Wonderful World Festival will pay homage to the life and legacy of jazz legend Louis Armstrong. Enjoy a fun-filled day of music, food, and family.
Down the road from Louis Armstrong’s home and at the site of the World’s Fair, Queens now has a festival worthy of Louis’ immense cultural legacy and the Wonderful World he celebrated in his music. This year’s headliners include Dr. John, Kermit Ruffins, and Soulive. Local acts with international flair will round out the line-up, showcasing Louis Armstrong's influence on a variety of musical genres and staying true to his mantra that "you gotta listen to all types of music."
In addition, the festival’s Backyard Bash will feature family friendly activities throughout the park, recreating the memorable garden parties that Louis hosted for his friends and neighbors at his home in Corona where he lived for almost 30 years.
The festival is a free all-ages event and will take place from 1 PM to 8 PM on July 16, 2016.
